   Jeffrey F. Shulman wrote this program, which is a Desk Accessory.  It searches a specified folder or disk for resources in its list.  The list of resources is customizable by the user.
   VirusDetective can also produce a log of all files or just suspected files.  It also has the ability to automatically check a disk when inserted.  It can be run in the background under MultiFinder, checking each disk inserted and logging results.

   Versions 3.0 and later have an advanced method of specifying what to search for.  Fortunately it comes with strings for detecting known viruses and when a new virus is discovered the author quickly makes known the proper string to add in order to detect it.  It also has the ability to save and restore search strings to a file.
   This is a highly recommended tool.
